By using Unscroll (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. About Unscroll

Unscroll is a movement-powered app blocker designed to help users reduce screen time by pairing movement with app access. The App uses your device's camera and on-device pose detection to track your movement, and uses Apple's Screen Time API to block and unblock selected apps.

Unscroll is a wellness and productivity tool. It is not a medical device, fitness program, or substitute for professional health advice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction) to use Unscroll.

If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

By using the App, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Account and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any authentication credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features of Unscroll require a paid subscription ("Unscroll Pro").

• Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• If a free trial is offered, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions.
• Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies.

We may update subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice provided through the App or App Store listing.

5. Camera and Device Permissions

Unscroll requires access to your device's camera to perform real-time movement tracking.

• Camera access is used solely for on-device pose detection. No photos, videos, or image data are recorded, stored, or transmitted.
• You may revoke camera permissions at any time via your device's Settings. The movement tracking feature will not function without camera access.

Unscroll requires Screen Time authorization to block and unblock apps on your behalf.

• You grant Unscroll permission to manage app restrictions through Apple's FamilyControls and ManagedSettings frameworks.
• You may revoke Screen Time permissions at any time via your device's Settings. The app-blocking feature will not function without this authorization.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Misuse, interfere with, or attempt to circumvent the App's functionality or security measures;
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App;
• Use the App for any unlawful, abusive, or harmful purpose;
• Attempt to manipulate or falsify movement tracking;
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell any part of the App.

7. Health and Fitness Disclaimer

Unscroll is not a medical device, fitness program, or substitute for professional health advice.

• The App provides general exercise prompts (push-ups, squats, lunges, glute bridges, etc.) and estimated calorie counts. These are approximations and should not be relied upon for medical or professional fitness purposes.
• You are solely responsible for determining whether any exercise is appropriate for your physical condition. Consult a qualified healthcare provider before beginning any exercise program, especially if you have pre-existing health conditions, injuries, or concerns.
• By using Unscroll, you acknowledge that physical exercise carries inherent risks, including but not limited to muscle strain, joint injury, or cardiovascular events, and you assume all such risks.
• Real-time form feedback provided by the App (e.g., "go lower", "keep your back straight") is generated by automated pose detection and is not a substitute for guidance from a qualified fitness professional.

If you experience pain, discomfort, dizziness, or any adverse symptoms during exercise, stop immediately and seek medical attention.

8. App Blocking Disclaimer

Unscroll uses Apple's Screen Time API to restrict access to apps you select. While we strive for reliability:

• We do not guarantee that app blocking will work perfectly in all circumstances. iOS updates, system changes, or device configurations may affect functionality.
• Unscroll is a self-improvement tool, not a parental control or enterprise device management solution.
• We are not responsible for any consequences arising from apps being blocked or unblocked, including missed notifications, communications, or time-sensitive content.

9. Data and Privacy

Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We do not sell user data. Camera data is processed entirely on-device and is never recorded or transmitted.

10. Intellectual Property

All content in Unscroll — including software, design, artwork, text, 3D assets, icons, and branding — is owned by Unscroll or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without prior written permission.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms or engage in behavior that harms the App, its users, or its integrity.

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification survive termination.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

• Unscroll is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
• In no event shall Unscroll, its officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, personal injury, or property damage arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
• Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or fifty US dollars (USD $50), whichever is greater.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Unscroll and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Unscroll is incorporated, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When material changes occur, we will notify users through the App or via the App Store listing. Continued use of Unscroll after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
