Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Unscroll ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Unscroll mobile application ("App").
By using Unscroll, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
Unscroll is designed with privacy at its core. We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve the App.
a. Information You Provide
- Preferences: Your selected movements, blocked apps, and preferences are stored locally on your device to personalize your experience.
- Support Correspondence: If you contact us (e.g., via email), we may retain that correspondence to resolve your inquiry.
b. Camera and Pose Detection
Unscroll uses your device's camera to track your movement using on-device pose detection (Apple Vision framework).
- All camera processing happens entirely on your device.
- No photos, videos, or camera data are recorded, stored, transmitted, or accessible by us or any third party.
- The camera feed is analyzed in real time solely to detect body pose landmarks and track movement.
- You may revoke camera access at any time in your device's Settings. Without camera access, the movement tracking feature will not function.
c. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
Movement history, session data, streaks, level progress, screen time statistics, and personal records are stored locally on your device. This data is not accessible by us or any third party. If you uninstall the App or clear its data, this information will be permanently deleted.
d. Automatically Collected Data
- Device Information: Basic technical details (e.g., device type, OS version) may be collected for performance monitoring and crash analytics.
- Usage Analytics: We collect anonymized product analytics to understand how users interact with features and improve the App. This data does not include camera data or movement content.
- Attribution: We collect anonymous event analytics to understand how users discover the App.
e. Screen Time and App Blocking
Unscroll uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls and ManagedSettings frameworks) to block and unblock apps on your device.
- The specific apps you choose to block are managed entirely on your device by the operating system.
- We do not have access to or collect any information about your app usage, Screen Time data, or which apps you have installed.
- Apple's Screen Time API is privacy-preserving by design — app identifiers are opaque tokens that cannot be reverse-engineered.
f. No Sensitive Health Data Collection
While Unscroll provides estimated calorie counts and tracks your movement, this data is stored locally on your device only. We do not collect, transmit, or store health, fitness, or biometric data on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the limited data we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the App
- Personalize your experience
- Respond to support requests and feedback
- Analyze aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to improve features
- Understand how users discover and install the App
- Ensure App performance and prevent abuse
We do not sell your personal data. We may share anonymized, non-personal data with ad attribution partners to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.
3. Data Storage and Security
a. Local Storage
The majority of your data — including movement history, streaks, levels, personal records, and Screen Time preferences — is stored locally on your device. This data is protected by your device's built-in security features (encryption, passcode, biometrics).
b. Cloud Storage
If subscription data is stored in the cloud, it is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest. Access is restricted to authorized personnel who need it to operate the service.
4. Third-Party Services
Unscroll may use third-party services for the following purposes:
- Subscription and purchase management
- Anonymized product analytics
- Anonymous event analytics and install attribution
- Payment processing (via the Apple App Store)
These services have their own privacy policies governing how they handle data.
5. Managing Your Data
You have control over your data:
- All movement and preference data is stored locally on your device. You can delete all app data by uninstalling the app. To request deletion of analytics data, contact us at theunscrollapp@gmail.com.
- You can revoke camera permissions at any time via your device's Settings
- You can revoke Screen Time permissions at any time via your device's Settings
- You can request a copy of any data we hold about you by emailing us
6. Children's Privacy
Unscroll is intended for users aged 13 and above. If a parent or guardian has set up Unscroll for a minor using Family Sharing or parental controls, the parent or guardian is responsible for supervising the minor's use.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will promptly delete it.
7. International Users
Your data may be stored or processed in countries where our servers or service providers operate. By using Unscroll, you consent to this transfer in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR where applicable.
8. Data Retention
We retain data only as long as needed to provide our services. You can delete all local app data by uninstalling the app. To request deletion of analytics data, contact us at theunscrollapp@gmail.com.
Anonymized, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be used to identify you.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at theunscrollapp@gmail.com.
10. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We will notify you of material changes via the App or the App Store listing. Continued use of Unscroll after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
